Happy Birthday Kiera!

April 6th was Kiera first birthday. Man, I can't believe how fast kids grow up. We didn't really do anything on her birthday. So, I guess she decided she would give herself a gift. The green on her face. We call it her birthday tattoo. She got a hold of green food coloring I left out awhile ago for a family home evening lesson. I am so glad it came off easy.

Saturday, the 7th is when we had the party. She loved it. She love attention and to be spoiled. She was so spoiled. Grandpa Nunes bought her the cakes. He made sure she had a small one just for her. She ate about 3/4 of the small one all to herself. She got all of her favorite gifts. Clothes, books and dolls. We have been blessed with so many great family members and friend. We all had a blast. Thank you guys for making it a special day for a special little lady.

I am so thankful for this sweet but high spirit little girl. She has made life all the more complete. We have had an amazing first year together.

Alden loves trains.  So, one day we go to the Union Station to see the trains. We decide to get Alden a gift in the gift shop when we discover they have a Union Station Pass. Which includes all of the Union Station Museums, the Dinosaur Park (Monday-Friday Only) and Ogden Nature Center. Awesome!

We have been to the Union Station twice. Alden like it more than Kiera but we have a lot of fun watch the train models race around.
The Nature Center was so much fun. Alden and Kiera loved it. We saw all kinds of birds, about four deer and had a blast exploring mother earth.
The Dinosaur Park was the hardest for us. Alden did not like the dinosaur sounds they play in the park. He was in tears asking if we could go to the car. We told him if we went to the playground and still wanted to go home we would leave. We went and he just sat there. Kiera wanted to run around and touch everything. We did get to see the whole park but Alden really just wanted to leave. When we left, Alden ran to the car and said " That was scary, mom!" Well, maybe next time he will learn to enjoy it. Maybe!

Ash eating baby!

On the night of November 8. My little miss Kiera was in the living room with Mark. I was in the kitchen cooking dinner and Mark was playing a computer game so he wasn't paying attention to what was going on around him. I went into the living room to check on the kids. When I see Kiera in the fireplace cover in ash. She had all over her clothes, in her nose and all around her mouth. As I was cleaning her I cleaning her up. I asked her if it was good and she gave me a big smile. I love Kids. They make life fun.

For the love of Food

Alden was eating an apple and decided he was done with it. So, he just left it on the floor. Miss Kiera crawls over and starts to suck on it. Since three months old she has wanted to eat like the rest of us. She is okay with baby food but would love to have the real stuff.

Kiera Elizabeth Thomas

Kiera is our very sweet and loving little girl. She was born, April 6, 2011. Weighed 8 lbs. 12 oz. and Height was 21 in. She is very independent. She know what she wants and if she gets it, she is so content. I think she even chose her name. When I was about 7 months pregnant we where having a hard time with a name we could both agree on. So, one night I had a dream I was having a girl and her name was Kiera. Later, I found out I was having a girl. So, It felt right to name her, Kiera. It fits her well.

Welcome to the World Alden Jay Thomas

So, Mark and I have a new addition to our family. Alden Jay Thomas was born May 1, 2009. He was 8lbs, 3oz and 20 inch long. It was an all natural birth. Which I am very proud of me. It was hard. Mr. Alden will be turning one very soon. It is so amazing how they grow up so fast. He loves to walk and listen to music. His favorite food right now is peas. His personality is very loving but he knows what he wants. We love him so much. Thank you, Lord, for him.

Family

As my new cousin Samual was born. I realized how family is one of the most important things. Sometimes we are a afraid to be seen with them but deep down inside we always know that we will be there for each other. With love we lead many of our family through the pain, hurt, and evil of the world. To reach the lighten day of joy, happiness, hope and most important our heavenly father.
